MIXADEMIC
DJ Mixademic (aka Domenic) has over 25 years experience in the Toronto music scene. His love of music began when he first learned to play the piano and continued throughout his teenage years where he made mixtapes for his friends (yes on REAL cassettes). This enjoyment of playing music led to DJing at his university pub and working part-time DJing for weddings and corporate events.
Over the past few years, Mixademic has branched out into the world of livestreaming with his popular show, the Retro Metro.
Currently, Mixademic continues to DJ/MC live events in the Greater Toronto Area. He has now extended his passion for music by launching a new line of music merch.
“With the name MIXADEMIC, I wanted a unique word that merged two components of my DJ style: MIX and ACADEMIC. MIX because I like to mix songs and different genres of music for the ultimate experience. ACADEMIC because with music, I am always learning, especially new songs and artists.”
